Analytics — optional

If you allow these, we record which pages are visited, how long is spent on them and how far people scroll. It tells us which pages genuinely help families and which are wasting everybody's time.

We do not store your IP address alongside this, we do not run Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics script, and time on page is only counted while the tab is actually visible — a page left open in a background tab does not report a nine-hour visit.

Advertising — optional

We advertise, and if you allow advertising cookies we can tell which advert led to an enquiry. That means we spend less on adverts that do not help anyone.

Turning cookies off in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings or privacy menu. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will not break the public website, though your saved cookie choices will be forgotten, and staff will not be able to sign in to the admin panel.
