Derby branch
Derby city and the surrounding villages, run from The Waldorf on London Road in Alvaston — and the base for the care we deliver in Leicester.
The Derby branch covers the city and the ring of communities around it — Alvaston, Allestree, Mickleover, Chaddesden, Littleover, Spondon and out towards Belper. Royal Derby Hospital is within the catchment, and hospital discharges make up a meaningful share of the packages that start here.
Derby also coordinates the care we deliver in Leicester, where we work and recruit but do not keep a separate office. Packages there are planned by this team and staffed by carers who live locally to the person, not driven over from Derby for every call.
This is the branch that handles most of our complex and clinical work in the East Midlands, including PEG feeding, tracheostomy care and packages that begin as a supported hospital discharge.
We recruit locally, pay for travel time between calls and publish rotas a fortnight ahead. Carers are matched to rounds near where they live rather than sent across the county.
