Birmingham branch
Care across Solihull borough and the villages around it, coordinated from our Yardley office a few minutes up the Coventry Road.
The Solihull team covers the borough and the villages that ring it — Shirley, Olton, Knowle, Dorridge, Balsall Common, Hampton in Arden and Marston Green. It is a spread-out catchment, so rounds are built tightly around geography and carers are paid for the travel time between calls rather than expected to absorb it.
A good deal of the work here is live-in care and longer visits. Larger houses, more people living alone at a distance from family, and a preference for staying put rather than moving into a home — the assessment tends to start from what would let someone remain where they are.
The branch is coordinated from Amington House in Yardley, which keeps it close to the head office rota team and the out-of-hours line while the carers themselves are local to Solihull.
We recruit locally, pay for travel time between calls and publish rotas a fortnight ahead. Carers are matched to rounds near where they live rather than sent across the county.
