Care Assistant — mornings & evenings

Support people in their own homes across Yardley, Acocks Green and Hall Green — with a round you get to know.

Pay£12.60 – £13.60 per hour
Hours20–35 hours per week
Shift patternSplit shifts: 07:00–14:00 and/or 16:00–22:00
LocationBirmingham

You will visit a regular round of people in their own homes, helping with the start and end of the day. Most of our carers stay with the same round, so you build a proper relationship with the people you support rather than meeting a new name every shift.

We pay travel time between calls, not just the call itself, and rotas are published two weeks ahead.

What you will be doing

  • Personal care — washing, dressing, continence support
  • Medication prompting and administration
  • Meal preparation and light household tasks
  • Accurate digital care notes at every visit
  • Raising safeguarding or health concerns to your coordinator

What we need from you

  • A driving licence and access to a car
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Availability for alternate weekends
  • Warmth, patience and reliability — experience is welcome but not essential
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check (we pay)
